Zone fashion
So in general no gives 2 shits what you wear. Nothing is taboo or unacceptable. You can walk about naked or covered head to toe and get just about the same reaction from everyone, but there are a few common themes in runner fashion. Jackets of course are often signature statement pieces in a killjoy’s outfit. Some Joy find a jacket they really like them wear it to shreds and other might customize theirs with patches, pins, embroidery, and paint. Hair, of couse, is also another standout piece runners utilize. There’s a lot of dyed hair in the zones specifically because it’s firbidden in battery city, but just as many zone runners give themselves odd haircuts that aren’t up to battery code. Bandanas, masks, and helmets have just as much practical purpose as they do fashion statements. When you’re zooming though the zones on a motorbike or car there’s gotta be something to protect your face from the grit and sand and if it’s colorful, even better. And usually the clothes a runner wears becomes synonymous with them as a person. Clothing shopping is pretty sparse in the zones so once you find something you like you hold onto it. Most Joys end up wearing the same clothes all day everyday.
